a literary Midnight Mass about hope, comfort and doubt
in collaboration with writer Arthur Japin
The end of the year is a time of reflection. On Christmas Eve, some go to Midnight Mass, with its songs and stories about the birth of hope in dark times. Stille Nacht am Silbersee is a literary and musical version, a contemporary meditation on hope, comfort and doubt.
In collaboration with writer Arthur Japin, Silbersee presents a ‘winter night’ for concert and theatre venues, with stories and reflections, words and music. At its musical heart is the little match girl passion by David Lang. This touching winter passion, an adaptation of the fairy tale of the little match girl, won a Pulitzer Prize in 2008.
