philosophical passion with music by Arvo Pärt
co-production with Ragazze Quartet
Pärt reaches a worldwide audience with his music. His compositions reflect on the basic questions of human existence.
Philosopher Ger Groot leads us into the world of Sarah’s Passion. There, we see the performers like slow-moving living tableaus by famous painter Edward Hopper. The performance leads the audience through fundamental life experiences: the wonder of birth, the compelling force of passion and finally the inevitable confrontation with death, which when accompanied by the consoling music of Pärt can also come as a welcome friend.
